The Farewell dinner of Director PSTC Mr. Syed Tufail Ahmed Bukhari (retired) was arranged by Society for Pakswissians (Alumni of PSTC) on Sunday February 22, 2009 at PIA Garden Karachi. Approx. 500 Alumni and distinguished guests attended the memorable event. Including Ex. Director General PSTC Mr. Sadiq Ali Rizvi, Dr. Syed Nimat Ali Rizvi Principal Institute of Industrial Electronics and Engineering , Director General PCSIR, Dr. Tanzil Hyder Usmani, Director PSTC Engineer Mohsin Ali, CEO Agri Autos Mr. Tariq Qudosi and many other industrialists. The arrival of Chief Guest was on time at 7:30 pm and Chairman and other Body members of society welcomed him. Chairman also presented him the bouquet.

The comparing of program was done by every one’s favorite teacher Mr. Ahsen R Khan.

Program was started by the name of Allah and Mr. Farukh of 36th batch recited the Quranic verses followed by translation.

After that Mr. Jawed Azeem of 30th Batch presented the flowers of Naat sharif salalaho wasallam.

Mr. Irshad Ahmed chairman of Society delivered the welcome address and appreciated the attendance and thanks the distinguished guests. Mr. Irshad requested DG PCSIR and Director PSTC to get benefit of Mr. Bukhari in any term and relation.

After that The General Secretary of Society, Mr. Owais Alvi presented the Keynote address. He urged that Pakswiss has a family culture and society is uniting pakswissians on one platform for the betterment of Pakistan and pakswissians. He also appreciated the advertisers of Alumni directory, and Mr. Syed Mohamad Noman of 19th Batch, Mr Muneer Khan and Mr Tanveer Ul Hasan for publishing, compiling and data entry.

Mr. Abid Representative of Society of Pakswiss Professionals Canada spoke about his experiences and life at PSTC, he also appreciated the efforts and sacrifices of Mr. Bukhari to make PSTC one of the best institutes in Pakistan.

Mr Abid also presented the Shield of Honor on behalf of Pak Swiss Alumni Canada to Mr. Bukhari.

Alumni Directory was launched and ribbon cutting ceremony of Alumni Directory was done. Mr. Bukhari cut the ribbon while Mr. Syed Mohammad Noman of 19th Batch and Mr. Muneer Khan of 32nd batch assisted him.

Mr. Syed Muhammad Noman delivered his speech and highlighted the struggles and hurdle during publishing of directory. Mr. Noman also requested representative of Canada chapter to ask Canadian pakswiss to give at least email address for next version of directory. He also shared his experience with Mr. STA Bukhari as a teacher and mentor.

Engineer Mohsin Ali – recently joined PSTC as Director speaking at the occasion he said that Mr. Bukhari has left evident mark of dedication, discipline and merit in PSTC and he would like to follow him.

Dr. Naimat Ali Rizvi – Principal of IIEE, appreciated Mr. Bukhari with strong words and compared him With Vice Chancellor NED, Dr Abul Kalam and Dr. Abdul Wahab Ex. Director IBA. He shared his 20 years long experience and association with Mr. Bukhari.

Ex Director PSTC Mr. Sadiq Ali Rizvi also delivered his speech.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Tanzil Hyder Usmani said that he never met person with the highest level of dedication and honesty except Mr. Bukhari, he also urged that he will try to get services of Mr. Bukhari for PSTC and PCSIR and this will be honor for PCSIR if Mr. Bukhari join PSTC in any way.

Mr. Sardar Akhter of Karachi Tools, Dies and Moulds Centre also delivered his speech.

After that to recognized the efforts of making Pakswiss a great training centre, gold medal was presented to Mr. Bukhari by Alumni on his achievement in PSTC and serving PSTC for more than 4 decades. Dr. Tanzil Hyder presented the Gold Medal to Mr. Bukhari.

Mr. Asif Farooqui of 30th Batch briefed the audience about Mr. Bukhari and Pakswiss.

Mr. Ahson invited Mr. STA Bukhari for his awaited speech. All alumni and guests gave him a standing ovation.

Speaking at the occasion Mr. Bukhari thanked the Society for Pakswissians for arranging such a wonderful event which made the FARE WELL. And this shows moral integrity and dignity of PSTC Alumni and society.

As a small token of thanks Rs. 500,000 cash certificate presented to Mr. Bukhari, contributed by Society for Pakswissians Pakistan, Canada and UAE Chapter. Dr. Tanzil Hyder Usmani award the certificate to Mr. Bukhari.

Mr. Tanveer Yousuf of 28th Batch delivered the vote of thanks.

At the end dinner was announced followed by group photograph session.
